UpGolf is a newly developed app in improving golf performance. By entering key data for the shots on each hole you can keep track your on course statistics and to see how you really play. UpGolf produces detailed analysis after a round and shows you clearly what you're good at and where you can get better.
This golf app works as a tracker showing the basic statistics such as greens in regulation, fairways hit and recovery rates but then shows you these stats in much more in depth and detail. Here you can view performance in each area of Driving, Approach, Recovery and Putting. You can see analysis for individual rounds or you can view the trends over a longer period. Viewing patterns over time helps you to learn how each aspect affects your overall game. This is where you can see how shots are gained and lost.
UpGolf is totally offline and is designed be used during a round or you can save, edit or resume later. Enter you score and shot data for each hole. All the data you need to enter fits onto one screen per hole. New courses can be created as you play and are added to the app’s database once a round is completed. After each round a scorecard is produced as well as your complete rundown of statistics meaning this is all you need for your golf in one app.
Analysis Areas:
Driving
- Direction on Par 4 & 5 drives as well as drive accuracy for Par 3 holes.
- Fairways hit.
- Greens in Regulation made after hitting the fairway and GIR rate after missing the fairway
Approach
- Greens in Regulation from a range of distance intervals
- Average direction of missed approach shots
- Comparison of scores between hitting the green on approach and missing
- Par percentage after hitting the green as well as recovery rate after missing
Recovery
- Average number of missed greens per round and the scramble rate
- How close you get to the hole for all recovery attempts (chip accuracy)
- Frequency of successful scrambles from different ranges once on the green (putting skill)
Putting
- Rate of when the Green in Reegulation equals a Par
- Average number of putts taken from a range of distance intervals
- Frequency each distance is putted from during a round
